The $1700 picture . . .

This was photo was taken on Saturday, just before my husband, my 20D, and brand new lens fell into the river. Not a bad photo, but not sure it was worth the price tag!

So, he tells me that it might be salvageable (they are looking at it now). And then he says, with a twinkle in his eye, that the 30D comes out on April 1st. . .

In the interim, I'm looking for a rental!

Although it is alot of money, Life happens. I have ran over so many curbs and potholes in my car. My DH just shakes his head.
I just want to tell you how much I love the March kit it matches so well with the Heidi Swapp class I took the end of Feb. In the class the pages were done in greens, along with the HS scrapbook.I love it when things come together

omg jenni! your poor camera! last year i dropped my camera with my good 300mm lens on the cement ground at my daughters bday party. i shed a few tears over the thing! you become so attatched to your camera ... it's there for everything ... that it's hard to see it get hurt. hope it all works out!

Oh my gosh. I don't know whether this a good or bad thing. The price tag doesn't sound fair for such a small accident however, I love new cameras. Either way I hope it all turns out for the best!

oh bless your heart! (or the heart of your camera---or more importantly, Lord bless the hands of the camera tech who is going to try and save it!).

It is a great picture...and if it gets you the 30d -- hmmmmmmmmm!

I have a friend who is a professional photographer that might know where to rent one...do you want me to check with him?

OMG, what a shocker. Sorry about the camera, but the photo is lovely. Looks so much like one of the rivers we have here in Oregon.
I love the March kit. Looking forward to the next two.

That so sounds like something that would happen to my husband. Maybe I ought to take him down there to take a picture. I really want a new camera! I'm kidding. I am sorry to hear about your camera. I think I would probably have gone into heart failure if that happened to my beloved camera and I don't have the 20D. I hope it all gets worked out!

I am SO sorry that happened. I'm sure you had that feeling in the pit of your stomach where you just want to rewind a few minutes and start over. I walked in to our office a few weeks ago to find the remains of my hot tea all over the desk and our new camera not where I had left it. Thankfully, it is now working, though it scared me when I kept getting error messages. Ah, life with a mischievious (Oops, I mean precious :) two-year old.

So sorry to hear your camera needed a bath! But look on the bright side...only 16 more days until you can have that 30D in your hands! Might set you back a little $$!
Love the March kit. Having lots of fun with it.
Glad I got to see ya at Scrap It on Saturday.

OMG! I would die!!

Then once I got over it, I would blow that pic up as big as I could and hang it in my house so I can tell everyone the story of the pic...and then I'd show them my new camera!!

This is why there are never any photos of me, because I won't let my husband touch my camera, because would drop it!

Jenni,
I can totally simpathize with you. My husband and my brand-new camera went into the ocean at Hanama Bay in Hawaii the first day of your 10-day vacation! We were with some friends so I didn't totally loose my cool with him. The camera was ruined but I still had plenty of pictures from the trip because of my friend. I am new to your studio and blog. I was very sad to see that your march papercrafting kit was sold out. Please email me if there is any possiblity that I can still get one if I sign up for a year membership! Thanks
