Another year at Petticoat Junction. . .

I'm so excited to announce that I'm returning for a third year to Petticoat Junction Bed and Breakfast in Normandy, TN on Saturday July 6th for a full day of classes and shopping!  This event is very small and has sold out quickly each year.  Bonnie is ready to take reservations and you can find out more information here.  As I have said every year, just the food alone is worth it (forget about me)!

Below you will find a sneak peek at the 3 classes I will be offering . . .

Simple Yet Elegant – Building a Monochromatic Layout  – Who knew that sticking to a single color palette could yield such elegant results, without being boring?!  In this class we will be using various shades of cream and kraft (with a single accent color) to create a double page layout that has a classic feel – never to go out of date and appropriate for almost any subject matter (and you will have leftover products and tools to take home and use on other projects).

Magpie Journal – The Magpie is known for it’s collecting nature, often building it’s nest from it’s most prized (and shiny!) finds.  One of my favorite authors, Australian Sibella Court most recently penned a book called appropriately “Bowerbird” (the Australian version of our Magpie), about her tendency to do the same, a book that became my inspiration for this journal.  We will complete this project using the latest Jenni Bowlin Studio products and incorporating stenciling, stamping and punching techniques.  In the end you will go home with a completed journal that’s ready to house all of your favorite finds, photos and ephemera of your own Mapie journey!

Vintage Typewriter Tin Memory Card Holderthis class is truly one-of-a-kind as we will be creating small memory cards using our favorite photos and the latest and greatest Jenni Bowlin Studio products, all sized to fit inside a vintage typewriter ribbon tin.  Each project will be it’s own work of art as students will customize their cards shape and size to fit the tin that they select.  Other vintage items will also be used in the class.  Tins average around 3” so if you like small projects with tiny details, you will love this class!

As I mentioned, if you think you might be interested in this event (particularly if a small group of you are interested) sign up sooner rather than later to assure seats are available for the weekend!
