Just a little something. . .

When I have a moment to breathe, or when the urge to create something is so strong, I tend to reach for my CDV card collection and make little collages.  They almost always involve the back of the card where you will find beautiful photographer's marks.  On this one I added a bit of stitching, some ink with a tiny mask leftover from one of our kits and a punched bird charm.  Here's how I made the charm . . .

I took strips of leftover vintage papers and labels from my stash and layered them one on top of the other on a piece of cardstock.  I then punched the bird out of a section (using my Fiskars Flight Punch).  I kept this piece to either use as is on another project or to use for more punching!

I then added some Glossy Accents to coat the punched piece and sprinkled some light glitter over it while it was still wet.  Also while it was wet, I added this tiny vintage fabric button.

Super simple.  I love this punch - it's really versatile.  I have been using it in several Christmas projects this season as it reminds me of a dove in flight.

And. . . if you loved my first round of punches with Fiskars, stay tuned next week!  I will be previewing my 4 new squeeze punch styles that will begin shipping to stores on Dec. 1st.  I'm so excited to have some new tools to play with!

That is so pretty. I love the simplicity. What a great way to use those little slivers and pieces of vintage paper and labels that I just hate to throw away. You are so dang clever...Thanks for sharing!
