It's still Monday . . .

although barely.  This is my busiest time of year, but considering I missed last Monday, I am definitely overdue for another installment of the Things I Keep Monday!

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of purchasing some items from an estate in Atlanta, GA.  Our lovely new friend and her sister had spent many month's cleaning out their mother's home and were needing to move some items out.  It is always an honor to be asked to do this - I truly think it's a sacred thing, being brought into someones life that way.  It's amazing how you can slowly see unfolding in front of you years and years of history - learning interests, vocations, and tastes.  Their mother had been an artist and a "keeper" of the tiniest of things.  To say I was in heaven is an understatement.  And while we did purchase several items to sell, most items have found their way into my studio, including this little pile of jewels below.  In fact, I feel sure that the next several installments of this little Monday ritual will all be items that came from this house.  I am so very honored to have been invited in.

Happy Monday!

(I keep teasing big announcements, but they really are coming!  Check back this week for the details on our first home event in Mt. Juliet, TN next month).

Oh how fun Jenni! I use to feel terrible going to estate sales. I felt so bad for the people who had passes and all this was left and no one in the family wanted it...but then someone said it should make me feel good to know the family is happy to know someone wanted their family treasures when they didn't have room for them...so I don't feel so bad about it now. But I do love the treasures I find at estate sales and I ponder on each piece and wonder how many times it was used or looked at...Can't wait to see more....

And looking forward to your home event.. Davean and I have "saved the date"!!
