A little more on John Mayer. . .

I found his blog the other day. Very cool that he does this but very bad for me. It's NKTB all over again (and for those of you who didn't have posters of John, Danny, Jordan, Donnie and Joey all over your room, that would be New Kids on the Block). On second thought, something is very wrong with mentioning John Mayer and Jordan Knight in the same sentence (must avoid that in the future).

Anyhow. . .

I read something today that stuck with me: He said "Tone is the intent of a voice". Of course he referenced this as it applied to songwriting, but I immediately related to it as it applies to what I do (what we do) everyday and why journaling is so important to me. Everyone has a voice when they take pen to paper, but the power lies in the tone of that voice (the emotion). There is so much more to be said then "We went to the zoo today. We saw a bear and had some ice cream". Learning to listen to what your heart is telling you everytime you pick up the pen and look at a photo is key. And if you want a tutorial on how to do it, pick up any book by Rebecca Sower. . .

By the way, the gallery is up now, but the Project Kit instructions will be delayed for a short time. I will post here when they are ready to go. For now, when you click on it, nothing happens.

Now back to John Mayer, did you know that there is a 72% chance that he is actually Jessica Lange. . .?? A little inside joke from his blog. Have a great night - write something down!

Oh, how funny! I haven't heard anyone mention NKTB (and yes, I KNEW what the initials meant). Am I dating myself? As I am typing this, I realized I must have been in the 10th grade.....AHHH! That was like 18 years ago! OK, I'm "leaving" on this note ~ what a great way to start my day... I now feel much older. Ha! :)!

If you only knew about *my* John Mayer obsession, you wouldn't think twice about yours! I'm a 34 yr. old mom of 3 and I *heart* JM!!! I can just get into such a groove when I listen to his music. Just saw him and Sheryl Crowe here in StL. Absolute Nirvana. Two of my absolute favorites on one blog...scrapbooking and John Mayer. Thanks Jenni!

I can't add anything about John Mayer, but . . .

My kit came yesterday. It's my favorite one by far so far.

And the gallery--love it!

Keep it coming, Jenni.

Good insight on journaling--and so true. I'm working on mine, as a matter of fact. And--it seems that the more I do it, the more comfortable I become writing about experiences, and emotions.
