It's a big one!!

Have I said that before?!?!?

It truly is a big one - and a great one!  February 1st comes to Mercantile tonight at midnight central time and here's just a peek at what you will find. . .

Our Papercrafting Kit featuring Lisa's Modern Mercantile line for JBS is full of vintage charm and of course two exclusive papers, an exclusive stamp set and an exclusive stencil. . .

(you will also get this free cutting file with the purchase of your kit - thanks to Betsy)!

This month's Artisian Add-On (featuring a mix of woodgrains and lots of feathers - more new JBS products)!. . .

The Antiquarian Add-On features some beautiful old labels and some of my favorite German spun cotton mushrooms. . .

I created this month's Mini Album Kit inside a sweet hinged tin with a "Day in the Life" theme.  I used my new Book Cover Mini Decks and stamps to create several little books that give a snapshot of our life right now - from what we are eating each week, what we watch together on TV, how we spend our time, etc.  It was really a fun little project.  Here's just a peek. . .

Of course as promised we have a large addition coming to the Flea Market, including a new concept - "Collections".  These are just that - instant collections of vintage items with a theme.  Perfect for mixed media or vignettes in your home/studio.  Here are two of the six we have this month . . .

"A Stitch In Time". . .

"Artist" . . .

Also in the Flea Market this month you will find several ledgers (with more to come on the 15th)!  Dina is going to be showing us in her gallery art journal pages she has created in her own ledger so be sure to check that out. . .

(a little Dina preview!!)

And a few more peeks at the more than 30 new Flea Market items going up. . .

An old unused Farm Ledger (amazing!!). . .

Vintage Children's Activity books with great graphics (lots of ephemera this month). . .

Also new this month is our first Mixed Media Kit!  This one is entitled "Time Flies" and includes a pocket watch dial with movements, glass and plastic vials, watch tins, tiny watch hands in little envelopes, etc. . . I was having a hard time letting go of these things but my loss is your gain!

And last but not least we have another great Dime Store Deal for the month of February!  Get our CoreImpressions Black/Red/Cream Embossed Cardstock Pad for only $6 this month.  That is a great deal on an item you use everyday and will never go out of style.  This is only temporary!  As we were doing inventory we realized we over ordered on these and just need to get our stock down a bit.  It will continue to be on our General Store shelves for a long time (but not at this amazing price)!

Have I convinced you yet to stay up until midnight tonight?!?!?

Clean up and "did you know". . .

I am busy, busy, busy today cleaning up my "antique" room in the warehouse and hopefully then moving on to my studio.  When we do inventory it always makes sense to clean up and organize along the way.  I'm trying to get other things done on my list so I can get into it - and STAY into it.  Do you know what I mean? I can't hardly stand to stop and feed my children when I get deep into organizing.

What that means for the site however is that I will be organizing many new items for the flea market, Antiquarian Kit and new mixed media kits (one will go up on Feb. 1st).  So if I'm a little more distant here on  my blog, you will know why!

And, some of you may know, I have been pinning for Country Living Magazine over at Pinterest.  I didn't want to share it right away as I was growing my own board (separate from our JBS Mercantile board) and wanted to get a few pins in there to make it worth you starting to follow!  I think I have 100 or so pins now (I know, that's still lame but I'm really picky)!  So here's the link if you are interested in seeing my board.  I'm hoping to have Betsy redo my blog in the next couple of weeks to get all of this type of info. up permanently.

So much to do and so little time in the day!

Last But Not Least. . .

The airport is calling but there's just enough time for the last peek at our CHA-W release!

On this layout you will see a new product for us - flatbacks.  Also showing up here is a little price sign from one of our two new True Vintage selections.  I used my Quilt Star Fiskars Punch to create the background (sewing down the rows with invisible thread).

The flatbacks come in three styles, General Store, Reader (which matches the Modern Mercantile line) and Icons. . .

We also have 3 new Mini Decks (perfectly sized for Project Life by the way)!  I made adorable little books with the Book Cover and Basics sets (using our new Washi tapes for the spines).  I forgot to snap the picture but will share it when we get back.  The Fortune Telling set matches the Modern Mercantile line. . .

And here are the two new True Vintage selections - Vintage Tickets and Vintage Price Signs. . .

And in case you want to see a personal tour, check out the video we just posted on YouTube where I take your through everything - and under 10 minutes (and with only about 20 "ums" - I'm working on that)!  Now, if I can only get my husband to learn some more attractive camera angles - there's always next time!

Modern Mercantile and more. . .

Well, by now you have heard the exciting news that Lisa Dickinson has designed our newest paper line, Modern Mercantile and I must say it is so much fun to work with!  I love how calming this line is and how easy it is to blend the patterns.

I'm not a pattern paper girl in the sense that I use bits instead of entire sheets (I like my white backgrounds).  So in this layout I used my new Jenni's Label Fiskars Punch to create the border using the Mini Pattern Sheet that goes with the line . . .

Also on this layout I have used some our newest Rub-Ons!  Yep - they are back!  The title was done using the Printer's Block Alpha and I used the Canning Jar Fun set to create the vellum pocket that holds stars and sequins.  Also notice my favorite Washi Tape - the Sideways Chevron in a muted grey (see below for the full preview on that). . .

Here are all of the Rub-On skus in all their glory. . .

We are also introducing 6 rolls of Washi tape in colors that match our staple lines perfectly (check out the lace tape in our signature Stick Candy green)!!  What I love the most about the tape is that it works so easily to cover the plain chipboard shapes.  Stick in on, sand the edges, and your done!

Come back tomorrow to see the last round . . . show starts in just 2 days!
