What a fun time we had!!
VintageFest was so much fun! We saw some old friends and made some new ones. I gotta tell you, I love the intimacy of smaller events. It's important to me to learn names and get to know people. It's always a bit chaotic and I'm sure I fall short at times, but that is my ultimate goal. I love the idea of a group of woman getting together and sharing a passion. This event is still far from what I have in mind for the future, but my goal is still to always keep it on the smaller side. We are planning on doing this twice a year, so look for some info soon on a late Spring/early Summer event!!
In the meantime, here is a quick photo, but Doris has the Inspiration Blog loaded with photos.

Thanks to all who came for the day, came for a class, or came to shop! We hope you had a great time and we look forward to seeing you again!!

On a more serious note, I have been meaning to post about a serious addiction I have been battling - I'm addicted to auctions!! I went to my first one a little over a year ago now (remember my $100 farmhouse table)? Since then, I am looking in the paper, on-line and with local real estate companies every weekend I'm in town. Jared makes fun of me, but he's just as bad if he's with me, I just tend to bid on bigger and heavier things! Many times you end up with "box lots". I usually will see at least one thing I know I want before I bid - sometimes you end with a box of junk and sometimes treasure! I put together this little sampling from my last auction - it didn't look like I had much of anything at first, but I love this little vignette. Enjoy!

Must have been a blast!

My dh and I love auctions, too. So much of the furniture in our house is from an auction!

The event sounds so fun. My friend and I may just have to try to go to the one in the spring. We'll keep our eyes and ears open for the details. I love going to antique stores that have piles and boxes to dig through...I have found some really neat things like that. I have never ventured to an auction...Maybe I'll have to try that...or maybe not, since you said it is very addictive! LOL
Take care and I hope you, your staff and family have a Fabulous and Blessed Christmas!

The Bama Girls Came, Bought and had a great time. This year we started in Bama with 2 inches of snow and hit Tenn, with no snow. Neither rain nor sleet nor snow....Loved your Antique store booth once again. I started going to auctions and opened a store 4 years ago, so yeah, I know what you are saying. I love your style, that's the reason I will keep coming to your vintage sales.
Thanks for a great time!

I understand the whole auction addiction. When I was a kid every weekend my dad wasn't working we as a family would head out and check out the auctions. I have been to them in all kinds of weather. My dad loved buying the box lots and just had a blast digging thru the boxes when we would get home.

There is an auction barn in Greenbrier I've been to and it is fun. My cousin worked there and my aunt went every week and always got great stuff. Her house is incredible, like yours! Let me know if you need the name of it but you probably already know! :)

I LOVE auctions also......I also love ebay but my most favorite is garage sales...lots of little vintage trinkets there! So much stuff to buy, so little space to put it in, so little money to buy it with.

One of my boyfriends parents went to auctions every week. She would come home with box lots and somehow I always ended up with stuff. As I've been unpacking in my new home, I have found so many wonderful treasures that Natalie had just packed away in my stuff! It's magical!
