Some random things

I keep thinking things are going to get less busy. I have been saying "once we get this in place things will get easier" for a long time now. Ruth just laughs at me when I say it now. Somehow we are managing a quick trip to Destin this weekend and I am longing for some "peace". I picked up the new Maroon 5 CD today for the trip. Run don't walk - it's a good one. I went into Target on April 22nd begging the electronics guy to find it for me (I just new it was there - somehow I got my month's mixed up). I think I was a little teary eyed cause he felt bad for me and kept looking even though I knew he knew better.

So here are the random things:

Here's a little layout I did for the Fiskar's blog this week.

So glad to be invited over there. I will try to remember to put it in the gallery at the site - I know it is a little slim this month. I am working on that for the future- a fun contest. I think it is going to take me another month to get it together though. I want it to be big!

I have some new chipboard shapes that will pop up in the kits in June like these. . .

And these. . .

And these. . .

All extra large (6" and 4") just like I like them.

And in June we will be making a special donation to help Jen Gallacher and her family who recently suffered the loss of their son Joey to cancer. Jen is one of the kindest people I have met in this industry with such a sweet spirit. I have been devastated by this as I know many of you have been. I will tell you more about it on June 1st!

Have a great night!

Hi Jenni-
I'm so excited about the new stuff. It all looks great.
Terribly sorry to hear about Joey. No parent should ever have to bury their child.
Enjoy your time away,

Jenni, I am not a bi "blog commenter" (is tha even a word?) but I wanted to say I love the new chipboard shapes, just like I love everything you seem to come up with!!! Please take some time to relas and have some work free time! I have followed and contributed to the Jen Gallacher situation and feel it is a very worthy cause! Don't stress about a contest, you know whenever it happens we will be all over it!

Hi Jenni -

Love the new chipboard shapes and I'd like to be able to help out Jen's and her family. I don't know her, just of her and what they've been through...just breaks your heart!

Love the new shapes, especially the last one..so versitile! You can cut them in half and use them as parenthesis...my favorite accent!

I love the chipboard shapes! Yeah! Can't wait for the June kit. Ummm...I still need to use my May kit, though. I love it so much, I hate to use it up (even though I can enjoy it in my album). Thanks for all of the inspiration!

Jenni, here's your week ahead~
Taurus Horoscope for week of May 24, 2007

"Inspiration is highly overrated," says photo realist artist Chuck Close. "If you sit around and wait for the clouds to part, it's not liable to ever happen." I share his assessment of the creative process. The books and music and columns I've produced owe their existence largely to my hard work, which generates a burst of inspiration every now and then but mostly gets things done without much flash. Keep that in mind, Taurus. Though you may not be inundated with a series of epiphanies in the coming days, you have the potential to spawn a lot of useful and original stuff. Your fertility quotient is high.

HI Jenni! Just wanted to let you know I received my order in the mail today! THAT was VERY quick! I think I placed the order less than 2 weeks ago and it had to come ALL THE WAY to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and it got here today!

can't wait to get at creating with it all.
