Yard Sale
**Updated - if you are local and would like directions just send a note through the contact link at the site. Ruth is hooking you up! And. . .for those of you not local, in the spirit of my friend Donna Downey, I will be giving away a box or two on the blog next week!**
Do you ever just get to the point where you can't take the clutter anymore? Even though my attic is shut off, in the dark, away from everything else, I KNOW that you can't walk in there. It makes me sick to my stomach every time I open the door. Add to that the fact that I have been working on and off for over a month cleaning out my studio (and doing a little redecorating)! I didn't have the heart to even take the stuff upstairs. I just piled it in the guest bedroom contemplating what to do with it. So, in a final act of desperation, I placed an ad today for a sale Friday and Saturday. If you are local, I have tons of organizers and containers that I couldn't find room for in my office plus LOADS of supplies (rubber stamps, idea books, never opened embellishments, etc.). I was in one of those moods toward the end and started throwing everything in the box!
And speaking of my newly cleaned, re-organized studio, here are some photos. Notice I fixed my Welcome sign!

I got the cool scale on the center desk, the window over the door and the window along the back wall from Scarlet Scales in Franklin. Finally took the time to get them integrated. I will try to take some more close ups soon. . .

Jenni, that studio of yours should be featured in some decorating magazine...It's gorgeous, so light and fresh and upper east coast. I'm in love.
Please, pretty please, give us a little sneak peek at the aug kit... And some more details on how us out of towners can get some of that goodness...
WOOHOO!

Oh, absolutely gorgeous! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your studio!! I can totally relate to the yard sale scenario. I'm at that point, but here in FL, it's too darned hot to begin contemplating a yard sale! Maybe in another month or two (if my garage can last that long)! Good luck! Wish I lived closer, as I would definitely be at your sale!

Would you be willing to do any presales for nonlocals if we pay shipping? If so, email me-I'm a subscriber so you should have my address.

BTW, love, love, love your studio. And love Franklin-next time we visit I'll know where to shop!

Wonderful studio...makes me want to redo mine!

Jenni - Absolutely stunning. I love vintage and bling and using old and making new - too bad Oregon is a bit far to travel (Sad face) I'm curious though, when you scrap, where is it done? At the table with the scale? Would love to see a photo of the reverse side, where you store everything on your desk and how you lay it all out. Have fun this weekend!

This is the most beautiful studio I have ever seen, and it seems to match the picture I have of you so perfect ! Must be heaven to work and play in such an inspiring ambience.

Hmmm ... a roadtrip from VA sure sounds tempting! Add me to the list of those dying for a tour of your studio! (Am I the only one who keeps clicking on the photos, trying to make them larger?!)

Jenni,

I agree...I love your studio! If I didn't have a baby shower to go to tomorrow, I'd consider a road trip also. I would also love a sneak peak at the August Kits. I got to see the Scenic Route papers in "real life" the other day. The "Cape Town" papers looked like something you would pick. Just my guess. I'll be happy with any of them though. All your talk is getting me excited about the September kit too. Good luck with your garage sale. I just love when you clean house and de-clutter. It feels so good.

Have a Blessed Day - Caron

I don't even live in the same country and I want to come to your yard sale.... I love the idea someone else had of a pre-sale for out of towners... Does your giveaway competition include us Kiwis????

Jenni, your newly revamped studio is FABBY (as in fabulous)!!! I love it! Everything is so beautiful and functional at the same time. Showed my hubby and he said you must be a "dreamer" just like me. Of course I took that as a big compliment! :) I'm curious about the view from the other side too. Can you show us?

I would love to have some of your cast-offs as well! How can we out-of-towners get our hands on some? I don't know if I can wait for next week!

Got my kits in the mail the other day and can't wait to "get my hands dirty" with all that goodness! Thanks again!

Mean.

Wow! Your studio is GORGEOUS, Jenni!

What about the weather? Will there still be a sale even if it rains (which it has been doing all day, not that I'm complaining! It's hot here!)

Anonymous said...

wow, your studio is so perfect. I love everything about it. I can't wait to see up close pictures. I love using old antique and unusual things throughout my home and craft room and you have inspired me with some of your ideas already. One of the first things I look at on you Bowlin Studios site is the studio ideas to see what you come up with next. Just love it.

I wish I lived just a wee bit closer to go to your yard sale, but from Knoxville is just a little far to go. But I hope it is a successful sale!!

Take care and can't wait to hear what you are up to next!!
