An Extra 5 Pounds

. . . that's what I will bring home with me tomorrow. Why is it that my trips home to Maryland always seem centered around what's for dinner? Of course there were the regulars I had to fit in: crabs with Old Bay and melted butter, crab bisque from Mama Lucia's, pepperoni Pizza from Ledo's and a mozzarella and pepperoni salad from Gallo's (missed that this time around). And new on this trip - I have developed an obsession with milkshakes from Wawa. (I hope these migrate down south soon). Couple all of this with the fact that my mother has more pantrys and freezers than Safeway (stocked full with the things I can't get in TN like Ellio's frozen pizza and Utz tortilla chips) and I'm lucky I only came back with 5 pounds!

Looks like I need to make it to the tennis court with hubby a couple more times this week!

Yeah but really... vacations are a better excuse for that then just sitting in the middle of your living room eating a half gallon of ice cream just because. Hope you had a great time on your vacation!

What is it about the Utz tortilla chips...THEY ARE THE BEST!!! Perfect corn taste, just salty enough with a great crisp! These are the only ones I can eat directly from the bag!!! Glad you had fun during your trip! Oh I gotta try the WaWA shakes. First I need to build a boat to get there (we've had way tooo much rain here in MD)

Glad you had had a good time. What is a vacation without gaining weight?? Have not thought of Wawa's since I lived on the east coast (NJ to be exact). Welcome back!!

Lucky...GOSH!!!
... i would love to have some melted butta' and crab... not here... no way missy, in TN you get BBQ. And not that thats bad or anything, i love BBQ nachos, but sometimes a girl craves oceans delights as she watches the waves come rolling in. sniff... sniff... i miss the salty beachy air.
No worries with the weightgain... a few days in this heat and it will slide right off!
Welcome back... C

OOH. . . I miss the crabs and melted butter in MD (as well as the Utz chips), too. I don't remember a lot of the other things, but I do remember the crab fests with church we would have at the beach (Did you ever go to one with Jared?) Hope you are all relaxed now!!!!

At first I thought maybe the five pounds was new scrapbook supplies you found at the stores in the area.

That's what I usually come home with. :-)

hahaha! I am going on vacation next week and can expect the same thing. I am hoping the fact that I have a physical the week I get back deters me from eating steaks and ice cream for 7 days straight!
