Decorating Tuesday. . .

I think I stressed yesterday that I am no Martha! I would love to say that I have decorations in every nook and cranny of the house and porches, but that has not happened for more than three years now (another casualty of my crazy work schedule). However, I have chosen a few everyday items that can easily take center stage for the holidays- no matter what holiday it is!

This is my favorite ironstone pitcher in the center of my living room. No matter the season, I can easily choose fresh flowers (I just grab them at Publix each week) to coordinate. That is why I love white so very much.

This is a large primitive tool caddy (promise to show you the whole thing in another post) I keep on our kitchen table. Most of the year it is empty, but for fall I can easily add small pumpkins and wheat (I used crumpled up old book pages as a base to save some money on the amount of pumpkins I needed). At Christmas I plan to fill it with vintage ornaments.

Maybe next year I will actually blow the dust off of all of my slumbering decorations (one can only hope)!

I love the idea of one focal point in decorating. White is such a great canvas to work from.

You are very much an inspiration and who else can create a line that makes me feel like I have some ability to create some art? Love your style!!! Thanks for the chance at some giveaways too!!!!

I've been de-halloweening and adding some things for Thanksgiving, but it's hard to find cute Thanksgiving-themed vintage-looking decorations.

Thx for the blog hop fun. I always check your blog regularly anyway because I love your style. Old Clarke spool box is so warm and lovely. Do you know any of the history behind it? These stories are the best part of owning antiques. Thanks for posting more often...we luvs ya!
