February 2010 Kits - On sale tonight!!
Vintage Brights - that's how I would describe this kit (with a bit of black thrown in for drama). This layout was created by Danielle (our newest Design Team member) with a mix of the main kit and add-on kit.
A little hint at all of the goodies in the Main Kit - including a small jar of ultra fine Art Institute Glitter in "Mint Julep".

This month's Project Kit can fit in the palm of your hand! I found a big lot of these wonderful old Aspirin Tins last summer and filed them away for a special project. Love this one!! Several other vintage goodies also included.

And finally, an Add-On kit filled mostly with vintage items, including a couple full sized vintage dictionary pages, a collectible Arm and Hammer Bird Card, and a medium sized chipboard flower - (in between the two sizes in the JBS Chipboard flower pack).
All on sale tonight - 12:00 midnight central.

From Southern CA to this. . .

We are at about 2" right now, and counting! Of course school was cancelled yesterday, before it even started. I so love to see it though - and of course snow is nature's perfect light reflector.

So much to do now that we are back. We had a great show and loved seeing everyone as usual. There is always talk between manufacturers over whether or not you are going to do this show or that show - but for us it is never a question. We will be there for whoever shows up - there is nothing like that one-on-one face time. It is so personal to me and I love getting to know our vendors. Each show is truly a reunion of sorts!!
I have updated my side bar with some of my upcoming events and classes (with more to come). Coming very soon is Scrap-a-ganza in Virginia Beach, VA. We will be there to teach 3 classes and we will set up our vintage vendor booth as well. The crop has been sold out for a while, but you do NOT have to be attending the crop to take the classes. I know one of them was getting close to selling out (the layout class) so if you think you would like to attend, you may want to call soon. Just click on the link to the left to see the 3 classes I am offering.
And. . . we are doing Vintagefest here in Mt. Juliet again the weekend of April 24th. More information on that in the next couple of weeks, but I can tell you that attendees from December's event will have the option to sign up first. More to come - promise. I just wanted to get you a "save the date".
More house photos soon too - I can't wait to get over there and see what they did last week. Likely about 8 weeks until move in!!

Banners, Banners, Banners!

Our new Banner Alpha Stickers. . .

They work wonderfully with a 1/2" circle punch to make a medallion. Just punch a circle out of coordinating cardstock, add your alpha sticker and then use small scissors to cut "slashes" in towards the alpha sticker. Run your fingers around the edges to fan a bit. Love, love, love these!!!! (hope you do to)!

(oh- and the background cardstock is one of our new open-stock sheets from Coredinations, available mid-late February)!!

Now off to show. . .!

another sneak. . .

New Bingo Alpha Tiles! I really made these for me because I was forever cutting out numbers from my bingo cards and crying because I didn't have letters. Well now I do (and so do you)!! Love the altered look you get from just cutting and pasting "raw", you know?? 4 colors to choose from.

Look for another post tomorrow on the mid-month releases at Mercantile Wednesday!!

(thanks for all of the great comments by the way!!)

I spy with my little eye. . .

A new Jenni Bowlin Studio CHA product! What could it be?!?!?

Introducing our new self-adhesive Embellished Butterflies with clear rhinestones and ever-so-slightly creased wings. Available in Red, Black, Navy, Orange, Pink and Brown.

They make me so very happy!

I will post more "peeks" this weekend. We hope to get out the wholesale newsletter tomorrow (once we get everything loaded for pre-sale on the site), so if you are a retailer stay tuned!!! Of course, as always, everything will be in stock and ready to ship at showtime next week.
We are gearing up for a mid-month release at Mercantile (on January 20th). I will post about that early next week. Several fun Valentine projects including a necklace kit!
And. . . we have decided to host another "Vintagfest" here in Mt. Juliet in April. I will post the date next week with more information to follow at the end of February.

I'm dreaming of spring. . .
and of the time when I can actually use these beautiful porches. It is so bitterly cold here now that it's hard to imagine. From this side of the house you stare into the woods for as far as the eye can see and there are always deer grazing or bunnies hopping. Of course there's a train on the other side only about 4 acres away. We don't have porches on that side! Jared grew up with a train in his backyard that shook the house and everything in it when it came by so it is no bother to him. This one you can't feel and thanks to a new noise ordinance we can't much hear it either.
This is a look from inside of my studio (the two door openings on either side lead out of the room). The wonderful worn door you see is one of two that are already hanging in those openings as we speak. You may remember them from almost 2 years ago now when I first bought them for this purpose. It sure is wonderful to see something you imagined for so long come to life. More photos to share soon - just need to get over there with the camera!

This sweet table is sitting at my father-in-laws right now getting a bit cleaned up. We cut the legs down so we can use it for a coffee table. In the upper right hand corner of it you can see a tiny plaque. It came from the Ohio State University Library. Jared's uncle was shearing his dog on it in the barn. He knows how much I love this stuff and he graciously handed it over.

So we are finalizing lighting, reading up on how best to fence in goats AND preparing for CHA!!

CHA previews soon and info. on a mid-month Mercantile valentine goodie release. It's going to be a great month!
